Pooh's first quail

Lisa, Pooh's foster mom:

"So yesterday I was able to take Pooh, Elton and Thelmalou (my training ROCK) out for a good romp in the woods and then over to the hunt test grounds in search of left over quail. WE HAD A BLAST!!! Pooh is a horseback ranging dog- he made a few casts at least ½ a mile away and I even saw him chasing a herd of deer from a distance. The kewl thing is he always comes back to check in. He tightens up his range beautifully in the woods and if he can’t find me- he lets out a bark or a whine so that I can call him to me.

After the woods romp we went over to the Hunt test grounds. Pooh was tired at that point and didn’t run as big. Thelmalou was a maniac and found the first few birds. Pooh’s first point was on a very visible quail that Thelmalou had already found. Then after a little more time, we found a bird that Lou and I had worked on earlier. She was back on point, and I had Pooh on leash backing her. Then I brought him in closer and as it was dark I knew he was scent pointing this bird."

Hideout under the Computer desk

Pooh and Thelmalou make themselves all comfy---now, we did ask Pooh what he was doing with that can in his mouth...but he couldn't seem to just answer our question right that moment...

Where there's action---there is Pooh!

Pooh bear's bestest friend Bronson

In the spirit of Winnie the Pooh and teddy bears everywhere, Pooh has been sent to brighten the life of Bronson. This handsome boy wanted a best bud to point with, and sleep with, and swim with. Pooh and Bronson are inseperable now. Some lucky family could have the best adoption situation ever-2 pointers!!!

Pooh in kiddie-sized heel

My nephew wanted to "train" poor Pooh. Finally he just gave up and settled for cuddling Pooh instead. As you can see, little Pooh is ready for a nap after all his hard work.

pooh & the kids

Pooh made a little trek out to see the nieces and nephews. Of course they screamed, PUPPY and pulled him on his leash, overfed him treats, kissed and cuddled him. All of this is great for Pooh. He just lapped it up-the attention, the noise, the action-he loved it all. What a good boy, no jumping or mouthing the kids!

Prince Pooh

Pooh here: my foster mom teases me and calls me Prince Pooh because my little feet never touch the ground. Since my human foster sister, Annabel, is home from school, I am her special project. This means I get carried around the house like a baby. She sets me down wherever she is, and mostly I just stay there. I absolutely love people, especially little people, you know, kids! My foster family only has one, but the neighbors have 2. And when they are outside, I am in heaven. They pet me and giggle and I lick their hands. My foster mom is really proud of the gentle way I have with kids.

do not disturb-puppy sleeping!

Pooh really enjoys his naptime. Just like a human baby, when he is tired and done for the day-he is OUT.

Pooh Speaks!

My foster mom has been telling me what a good boy I am and that I am clever and sweet and charming and that I will make someone a spectacular pet. But I have some requirements, too. So this is my "want ad" for my furever home:
One orange eared, hazel eyed young man looking for love. My ideal partner must love dogs, walks on the beach (or on the sidewalk, or in the woods), enjoy a good meal (kibble or canned), take great pleasure in kisses and cuddles, enjoy a warm bath (or at least a spray from the hose). I am also looking for love in any size, shape, or form (even feline)and I am not opposed to group love:) Those who have strong aversion to a little fur or the occasional paw print need not apply.
If you are an adventure-seeking backyard wanderer who loves the thrill of the chase (for squirrels, that is), then I am your guy! For the RIGHT ONE, I promise a lifetime of love and affection.

Welcome to our home Pooh!

After happily fostering Pooh's brother Topher, it is our pleasure to host this little guy. Right away we see that Pooh is MELLOW. He is happy to watch the world go by-in this case the Tour de France my gsp and std. poodle have going on in the backyard. We are sure he will get into the mix soon. Meanwhile, my flowers are grateful for 4 less paws trampling them:)

yard check

Before you think all we do with our fosters is bathe them and take funny pictures, here is Pooh enjoying the view of his new foster home backyard.

Who is that???

Pooh sees double-it's another ME!

Saint Pooh

Since Pooh seemed so content in his little bubble bath we couldn't resist torturing him by putting the towel on his head-little cutie, he just wagged his tail under the water.

bathtime!

Pooh, like his brother Topher, loves baths. He patiently sat in the water while we cleaned him up-all that sparkly white fur needs to stay pretty!

Pooh-our foster!

Winnie the Pooh is settling in at our house after leaving his last littermates Roo and Tigger. What a cuddle-bug! He is a nice boy, very polite.

WHICH WAY TO THE HUNDRED ACRE WOODS?

I just love being outside! Lots of cool smells, fast squirrels and flying birds! Plus, it's like a huge playdate with all of my littermates and foster siblings!

HELLO!

My name is Winnie the Pooh! Let's be family!
